This must be my week for finishing up projects.
I had made a .54 caliber rifle last fall, and had cut down the original tapered barrel, leaving me a nice length of stub for as pistol barrel. I've always liked the concept of having the same caliber rifle and pistol for a hunting combo.
I was remodeling my shop last month, and found the piece of maple buried in the debris. It has a nail hole in it, so had a bit of "antiqueing" before I even started on the project.
I used a Chambers Queen Anne lock on this, remodeling the lock plate a bit. The other parts are old scrounged rifle parts, aside from the butt cap. I cut the brass side plate from some scrap material I had here.
All in all, a low budget project!
