Small boolit size with gas check molds

I have a couple gas check molds that cast just a fuzz smaller I'd like. Here's the options I've considered:

Option 1- lap it (not comfortable doing it after a previously failed attempt)

Option 2- beagle it (gas checks no longer fit without hammering them on)

Option 3- add antimony/tin and hope they swell up enough in a couple weeks.

Well, you've pretty much listed your options. Another thing to consider is "bumping" the bullets. I've never done it, but have heard that it works.

What happened on the failed attempt? Maybe someone can aid you in doing it successfully.

Another option would be to wait a week and measure again.

if your careful where the lapping compound goes you should be able to open them up without changing the shank size

If you beagle, leave the tape off adjacent to the gas check shank and a little more and the gas check might fit. I've had this work out before./beagle
