Gents,

I'm building a rifle on a Remington-Hepburn action in 25-35 for a very old,
much respected friend.
It has a Badger bbl 1-10 twist .250-.257 dia., Treebone supplied the wood.

I basically know nothing about the caliber, as I normally build modern centerfire
caliber rifles on bolt actions. But this is what my old mentor and friend
requested.

I need to find a bullet mold for this caliber that will work with the barrel.
I haven't got the reamer made yet, as i would like to tailor the throat
and lead to the bullet profile. I do understand a little about the tapered
throat and relatively sharp leade in lead bullet rifles.

Nevertheless, I am appealing to you, my learned colleagues, for advice on
a bullet style, bore rider or Loverin style, or something else?,
and a recommendation for a bullet mold manufacturer of a quality
mold for this caliber. I've used NEI, and HOCH for my personal .45-70
and .475 Linebaugh, but never for a small bore rifle.
Also, what dies do you gents like for lead bullet reloading?
I usually get Redding dies, but if there is something better, tell me.
Do i need a special expander or some such?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

45 2.1 was going to design a mold for us if a couple of us get around to sending him a chamber casting. (I'm still procrastinating)

I've got an RCBS 2 die set, and use a lee expander die to bell the mouth a tad.
Buckshot also makes expander plugs. I've got a few, but nothing to attach them to.

I have a 336 Marlin that I rebarrelled with a 1-10 twist Dougas in .25/35. I chose the RCBS 25-100-FN and hollowpointed it and it shoots well in it. The 257312 Lyman also shoots well in it./beagle
