with my newly constructed PID temp controller 8-)

I made it so I can swap the probe between all my pots. I also "recycled" a blown up UPS for the housing. I was ladle pouring some Lyman 457193 's and with the temp controlled nicely, they were dropping at right at 411 +/- .3 grains or so

This was probably the best addition to my casting equipment - hotplate would be a close second.

Haven't been at this long and I have never cast any that shiny. But I am using straight WW after all.

Thanks for the kind words fellas. Forgot to mention that this was 20:1 alloy from Rotometals (board sponsor) - super people to deal with and GREAT product for sure. Also, I know there are plenty of how-to threads on PID set-ups, but if you would like any help just ask.

I picked up a 1873 Springfield trapdoor last weekend and need to load up some BP rounds. :-D
