I have lee 113 and 150 gr molds. Have anyone tried these is a sks? If yes, what gr/powder did you try. Thanks, greg :Fire:

Start with 14 grains and work your way up to 15.5 grains of Alliant 2400.

Other loads i've used with the Lee 2r155 bullet that were safe in my rifle (Your results may vary)

16.0 grains IMR4227
18.0-19.0 grains WW680
20-22 grains of IMR/H 4198
21 grains of RL7
20 grains of AA2015
23 grains of H322

My bullets typically run around 18-20 BHN. Straight WW's run 23-25 and are harder than they need to be. I'd rather mix them with some straight lead and save my WW alloy. They all shot about the same, except the IMR4227 load: 1900-2000 fps, good accuracy, and no leading to speak of. I use 1:1 WW/PB mix (+ a little tin) and water drop.

You'll need to give your gas tube a good scrubbing after 400-500 of these though. My piston started hanging up on the lead deposits in the gas tube. A good scrub took care of this and i'm back in the saddle.

One thing to look out for is to maybe use your .308 expander ball or a Lee factory crimp die if you have trouble with the neck tension holding the cast boolits in place.

18.6 grains of imr 3031 and the lee 150 fp sized .311" xlox lubed wqww. they work great in my norinco.

I'm using a 135 grain gas checked boolit with 15 grains of 2400 for both ak and sks, but sized to .314. I get very little, if any, brass stretch and minute of pop can accuracy at 80 to 100 yards. Brass lands 6 feet away and I'm currently up to 8 reloads on the brass with annealing after 5. Absolutely no cycling or leading problems with either gun, and that includes occasional rapid firing. As mentioned, gas tube cleaning after every outing helps keep things trouble free, and factory crimp die is helpful for the autoloaders. I've tried other powders and loads, but keep coming back to this one for my purposes. Very fun plinking load!
