Some of you guys prolly keep up with this kind of thing better than I do-- who makes the smallest, lightest 9mm pistol that is capable of being fired single action?

I think this would fit the bill www.rohrbaughfirearms.com, but they don't come cheap!!

I think the Rohrbaugh's are DAO, and can't be fired single action. They are supposed to be nice though..

Probably not what you want, but I think Sig-Saur just came out with a 1911 pattern pistol chambered in .380. Obviously a single-action, very small, but like the Rorbaugh, probably not cheap.

Have a look at the CZ P01 and possibly the RAMI pistols, I own the P01, it can be fired SA. It's accurate too! Surprisingly so.

+1 for the CZ. Mine is the standard sized CZ75B but the RAMI and CZ compacts are all double action. I believe the RAMI comes in both aluminum and polymer frames. If they shoot and function anywhere near as good as my 75B, you'll be happy with it.

Springfield Armory makes a micro-sized 1911 & it's available in 9mm.

EAA Witness. Its the clone of the CZ75. I had two of them. Some of the best shooting bottom feeders I have ever had. No, THE best. They ate every thing I threw at them.
Very simply to smith on. I done the trigger jobs on both of mine. And if I can do it, any one can.
Much eaiser to break down than the 1911 platform, IMHO. I got mine from GB for under 3 bills each.

You'll have to do some searching but Star made a bunch of "micro" 9mm pistols befre they got "popular"! Same size, or a bit smaller, than modst .380's!

Go to gunbroker or auction arms and search for Star BM, BK, BKM, or Firestar. The firestar is the last version and I have one I won't part with. Came with an Ambi safty as standard equipment. I like it!

Springfield EMP or Kimber Aegis would fit your criteria.

If you were to expand your choices to include double action only, the Kahr CW9
would be hard to beat. I just sold one last week and had the pleasure of
shooting it. It is very comfortable and controllable to shoot and light and thin
enough to conceal easily.

Zastava M88, It is a Tokarev clone in 9mm luger, SA and was a slide mounted safety. Thin pistol not overly expensive and with a shorter than normal Tokarev barrel.
