I was looking up Hawk Bullets and they said that they anneal copper to make it very soft, does anybody know how to anneal copper? Is it the same process as brass? I was wondering because they have some really good examples of there mushroomed bullets and supposedly it is because of the annealed copper....

I think any and all copper jackets need to be annealed at least once if not several times when they are being made.

Perhaps they anneal one last time after their jackets are fully formed.

But yes copper is annealed just as brass is, brass is mostly copper.

As you work it it gets harder and harder, re-anneal and it becomes soft again

oh, I was not sure if you annealed copper the same as brass, but thanks because I may see the need to experiment with copper tubing... squeezing 3/8 pipe down to an outside diameter of .416...
