I don't know of anyone who made 700gn 50 cal molds besides www.mountainmolds.com and he's not going to be up and running again until August or so.
I know that Ranger rick sells 700gn 50 cal bullets.

Dan at MM makes the 700gr SW 500 mould, the first one he made was for John Ross.
I have a 640gr WFNGC if you want to try some I will send you some after you get a SW 500,they do shoot good BUT there really is NO reason for them other than to say you shot 600 or 700g cast bullets. The recoil is very stiff out of a SW 500-8 3/8" bll at 1200-1300 fps.I hope you are getting a brake on that TC.
I have owned 4 different SW 500's at one time or another,I shot a bison a couple of years ago with the PC 10.5" using a cast 575gr WFNGC (BHN 24) at 1350 fps had complete penetration thru the skull out the bottom of the horn, if you want some load data email me I will send it to you.
At this time I have the PC 6.5" and the 8 3/8" and a Gary Reeder TC Encore SW 500 that has taken a couple of deer using a 395gr WFNPB at 1250 fps, even at 1250 this bullet creates massive wound channels .The meplat is 83% on this bullet.

i was looking at a 15 bbl for the tc with the brake. it will be a while but i think that will be my next perchase. i want a handcannon and it doesnt have to be a revolver either

If you are talking "hand cannon" with a TC, you might want to look at a .375 JDJones. I have one (barrel by SSK-JDJ) and it is a performing fool. My barrel has JDJones' muzzle brake and it is certainly needed. This has almost no muzzle rise but does come back a bit. I can shoot five times straight with a surprise break but then must rest a bit or my body and mind wants to flinch. After all, a 270 gr bullet at 1900 fps is serious business for one hand. I have decided, some time ago, that is as much as I am interested in with a "one hand" gun. Lest there be some misunderstanding, I do most of my "serious work" shooting with two hands (even a one hand gun).

For most of my serious hunting work, a .44 magnum does just fine, thank you!

Speaking for myself, only, I think sometimes we males get a bit carried away by the "biggest and the best". It CAN get silly (not that I ever would, of course[smilie=1: ).

I would expect that boolit is a .50 BMG "inexpensive" projectile? I doubt that even the .500 Smith will get much velocity out of it, and if it did, you wouldn't want to shoot it. (At least more than once!) [smilie=1:

NEI does some big boolits.

Dan at Mountain molds does make the molds for the big boys .The biggest grain bullet for the 500 was for John Ross and it is a 725 grain plain base bullet.
I talked to John a couple times about the big bullet testing he was doing so I decided to get a couple for myself.
At the vel you get with the big boys you really do not need a gas check but all my molds that Dan made for me are gas checked .

Two weeks ago I took this 6 1/2 foot black bear here in Alaska at 77 yards with one of my 700 Grain Thumpers .
I was able to get the bear to stop and when he did he sat down at an angle from me to look at what was making the noise .
One shot through his heart and out the back .No bullet recovery what so ever.
When he was hit he did a back flip and it was over that quick .
The vel on this bullet is right at 1340 with a 90% meplat.

The one pic is of the bear on his back with one of my loaded 700 gr bullet on his chest.

I have smaller weight bullets that are more noticeable to shoot than the 700 grain bullet.
Like sean said these big bullets are very accurate if you do your part .

1340 fps with a 700 gr boolit?

Holey moley, I'll bet that "backs up" some!

No thanks,

If you want to shoot that bullet you should get a .50-70 from JD Jones [SSK].

Actually, the H&R handi-rifle in .500 S&W Magnum is what I've a hankerin' for. I'd love to play with some of those big boolits out of a 22" barreled long gun.

Although, I'm sure that the recoil would still be something to be respected out of one of those little single shot handi-rifle's.

I'm waiting for the TC Katadin Encore in 500S&W. Probably get a 45-70 barrel along with it, just for kicks. NEI has molds for the .50 in .510, .511, .512, and .515 diameters. Weights up to 775 gr, with several 600 gr options. They are worth a look.

My buddy ordered one from Mountain mold and since he does not cast I have it at my place. 700 gr RFN Gas Checked.

Send me your address if you want some to try.

Although the recoil does get you attention when loaded to 1300 FPS out of his 8" Smith, I find it easier on my wrists than the 350 grain loaded to higher velocities.
