Does anyone have a source for an inexpensive LH flintlock? I saw a kit on DIxie but would like to get an idea of what else is out there. Never used a flintlock so this is a whole new realm.

I would ask at the Campfire Forum:

Look at Lyman's "Specials" page; they are selling reconditioned flinters for $220; they had a LH, can't remember if .50 or .54. They had right hand in .50 and .54 as well, same price.
Are you asking for a complete rifle or just the lock? Track of the Wolf has several flint locks in both right and left configurations. JDL

I have a left handed flintlock Dixie Southern Mountain/Tennessee rifle. I walked into a gunshop in Farmington New Mexico about 15 years ago and it was hanging on the wall.
I noticed it and asked it was for sale. The owner said, yep..but he figured it would never get sold so he used it as a decorator. I told him I would like to have it, but could not afford it. He said..don't assume that, and I don't have much in it..make an offer. I offered him $70.00 and he took it.
It is above the fireplace now...someday, I will get around to shooting it.
