How concentric does a 45 cal. .451 boolit have to be using in a 50 cal. muzzleloader using a sabot? Is .002 close enough for concentricity? Kernbigo

How accurate do you want to shoot? If you want clover leafs at a hundred perhaps not.
For practice and plinking it should be fine.

Remember that full bore boolits are "swaged" by the barrel as fired and that can be "good/bad" with so many variables. In the sabot the boolit is not swaged and when spinning at high rpm as boolits do, I think .002 is kinda outa round. That can not be good! I would try to get them closer. And, how are you measuring .002 out of round? Is the boolit that much wider at one point than another? Rounder is better. 10 ga

As long as the two opposing sides are equal it is balanced, but round is better. Shoot 'em and see.

As long as you have a snug fit in the barrel, you should be fine. Those sabots have some wiggle room in them.
