i have two(so far) mil surplus rifles that love berger 135 gr bullets. i have tried 150 mk and 168's, but the 135 shhots better! my scoped swiss k-31 with n135 and berger 135 moly shoot sub inch at one hundred, and my fn 7.62x51 nato israeli (98 mauser) does the same. both rifles are used for a sniper match at our local range that allows 4x scopes on as issued mil rifles shot at 200 yds....
the k31 shot a 199-11x in last yrs match.
oct will be the first yr for the 7.62
i'll probably take a finn mn too( it shot a 19o somthing last yr)

Hi Mike

I like that Berger 135, too, 'cept I don't use the moly version. I tried it for an accurate minimum recoil load for Rapid Fire in my .308 K31 target rifle, and it exceeded expectations. The Speer 125 grain HP "TNT" is just about as good, is a lot cheaper, and can be bought in bulk. Both work very well in all of my .30's.

Resp'y,
Bob S.

I have been using 155Gn Sierra Palma seconds which seem to perform as well as the first grade at less than half the price. Must check out the Speers. I had an old FN Famage Mauser that shot 130Gn Speer HPs like it was a fancy custom rifle, awesome. It wouldn't do as well with any other bullet. Mick.
