Got my copy of The Fouling Shot in the mail today. There's a nice article by a gent who has shot quite a few different boolits out of several M1s. A nice read.

It was a good article written by our very own Smokemjoe (Joe Wiest).

I agree, it was a great article. I'm still perfecting my Garand load. It was only recently I developed confidence in using cast loads in my M1. It was very liberating to finally know I can shoot my Garand all I want and not sweat the ammo supply. My best loads have come straight from this forum.

Hi I am new to casting for an M1 garand and m1a can anyone suggest a good bullet am looking at lyman 311-332 or 311-334. If anyone has a 311365 they want to sell please let me know. I would like suggestions before buying molds, because of cost savings. If you know of a good brand , That would be great, I appreciate the help, Thanks in advance. Koehn, jim

Jim,
you should go to the bullet exchange section and offer to buy several different weights and design. I'ld ask for some Lee 312-155/160TL, the RCBS 165 Sil. 31141,311291.
Try and get a copy of the above mentioned article on the M1 and see what he says.
