I'm going to start fooling with bonded core bullets. Am trying .338 first, then maybe some .224 for Antelope. Any tips on bonding cores? Does the bonding process hinder accuracy?

A swager I know washed his lead cores in dish detergent to make them bond with the jacket. I have tinned inside the jacket with solder and then heated the finished bullet to solder the core to the jacket on pistol bullets, but I can't remember the results, it was over 20 years ago.

I made a batch of bonded .224 bullets that were shot out of a 1:6.5 twist barrel to stop blow-ups.

I sized the cores and washed them, then tumbled them in soldering flux before swaging. After cleaning the finished bullets I heated them to about 600degs for 15minutes. He hasn’t had a blow-up since….
