My new Leupold arrived on Friday. It didn't take long to throw it on my 10"Dan Wesson. Gun gear is a lot more expensive here in Australia. I paid $482 for a Leupold 4x28 FXII. The test went well ~ the point of aim was only 6" above @ 25meters. At the range I noticed a guy selling a scope. It was the same as the one I just bought. He wanted $170 for it ~ sold. Though the scopes look the same they have a differant prefix. The new one is FXII and the used one is called M8. Apart from windage and alavation dial's the scope is the same. The M8 is samped made in USA and the FXII has no mark of origin. Is the FXII made in China ~ Anybody Know ? How good will a China made one go.

I've got two of the M8 4X Leupolds. Seems like that is just their old model (so the new model can cost more - ya know). Eskellant scopes for withstanding recoil. I use one on a .44 Mag Ruger w/ 10.5 " barrel. Time will tell as to the China issue.
