I just found this thing about 10 min ago.

http://newjerseyhunter.com/article74690.htm

I cant say if I think its great or not but I'll probably buy one just to have.
Now if they make it in a 444 then all bets are off, it'll sell like mad.

Cheers, John

I am not so sure.
The flame pressure from the .444 might be more than would be workable.
The .45LC would be enough.
An improvised Scrounger.
Works for me.

I know your right.

But it would be a neat concept in a 5 shot 444 or 45/70.
Can you imagine shooting it double action from the hip? YEEEHAAAA !!!!

Wouldn't the barrel-cylinder gap be a problem with your extended arm? Good way to burn an arm or ruin a shirt or coat.

One of the reasons, Remington New Army, and The Colt Open top never had front wood on their Scrounger versions.
That gap does hurt!

As a fan of the revolving carbine, I think this is a pretty cool setup! I really love my 1858 (scrounger) carbine in 45 Colt, I fitted a cartridge conversion to it and it is fun to shoot and amazingly accurate too! I'll definitely keep an eye out for one of these...

I could be wrong, but if you look closely on the picture, it looks to me like there's some kind of shield/guard in front of the cylinder. Its intriguing, I'd like to get a look at one some time.

Hey, a five shot contender, what's not to like?

I wish they would have used the Raging Bull frame , as Tarus is going to make / making a Judge on that frame that will not only allow the 410 and 45 colt
But also the 454

That way you could up the loads and realy make something

I don't mean to be contrary, but that looks like an answer in search of a question, and ugly to boot.

Since I have no desire for one, I'm sure it'll be a huge seller!

I have had absolutely NO interest in the Judge. None. Zero. (Anyone remember the Thunder 5?) But for some strange reason...I kinda like that thing.

Revolving carbines seem to bring out strong passion in shooters--a few of us really love 'em, and a lot of guys really hate 'em. I think they initially got a bad rap in the BP days, what with Sam Colt's big military version, with a wooden forend and all. Throw in a few untimely chain fires, and the bad reputation is sealed for generations.
I like the historic aspect of these things, and the fact that under the right circumstances they can be fun and effective. Yes, I am well aware there are more efficient firearm designs, but the same can be said of the 1873 Colt, and yet it's still alive and doing very well. Pay your money, make your choices I guess....
