Tin will cost us about $12.00 per pound unless someone buys #50 or more and do it on a 10% off sale day like I did.
Generally solder costs a lot more than pure tin. And its worth less thab pure tin to a boolit caster.

I'd like to know the answer to this myself. I found some 95/5 for $12.66/lb and some 63/37 for $8.89/lb. With both you had to order more than one bar. I also found 1lb rolls of 95/5 for $9.45.

I was surprised to see that $9.45 per pound 95/5 solder. When I was doing plumbing , I was appalled at $5.95 per pound a few years ago.
That just aint not half bad a price at hardwareworld these days.

Stellar metals prices still put you up over $12.00 per lb for the tin content though.

i have used a lot of the kester wiping solder bars for tin.
they usually come out to 1 lb of tin per bar and the rest is lead.
they weigh about 1-1/3 lbs total.
