I see on Flea-Bay that someone is selling an aluminum additive that goes into your walnut or corn cob tumbling media. I am wondering if anyone has tried this and give their experience. Is it a "miracle" or snake oil?

Aluminum oxide is a powerful abrasive. I don't know about miracle, but I'm sure it'll speed the process. The question would be, is it worth what they're asking? Bits and pieces of, or powdered aluminum can't be worth a whole heck of a lot. Maybe it'll be a good use for the litho plate that some use to make gaschecks, just cut em into little flakes and add to your tumbling media.
