Gentlemen, thank you for your insights on BP and Cap & Ball Revolvers.
I can only say again it is dangerous to read this forum it always whets my appetite.
Soon I can try out your tips and tricks. Since I had to get rid of my old Beretta 1934 I lucked into a swap against this:

Great looking outfit! Make sure you get some lubed felt wads to load
under the roundballs.

Thank you.
I am quite happy with it - still have to see how it shoots.
About the felt wads, what thickness would you recommend?
Found an online store that sells them in 4, 5, 6 and 10 mm. I will buy some and soak them with my homemade BP lube.
Reading the stickies and searching around I will start with 20 grains of Swiss 1 1/2
and go slowly up to 30 and see what the results are, therefore 10 mm might be a bit thick to get all the components into a chamber.
If I can find the time I will look into making some paper cartridges and compare between loose and cartridge loading.

Thanks for getting me started.
