Scored an unusual mould today at a local pawn shop that acquired a bunch of stuff from an estate. It is an aluminum, 2 cavity mould, .22 caliber spitzer. It is marked "DIS" or "DLS" and "55224GC". So, I assume it is a .224", 55gr GC bullet. Mould is in perfect shape....doesn't even look used by the look of the shiney cavities. (see photo)...Hell for stout sprue plate and lock nuts.

Anyone heard of this maker? Being a spitzer, this is a fairly long bullet...would it stabilize in a 1 in 16 in twist Hornet? 1 in 14"?

Any help would be appreciated,

hard to tell from the pic, need a closer one, but it looks like an old Walt mould

a picture of the markings would help.

............Don't think you're going to have any luck with it stabilizing in the Hornet's 16" twist. Nice looking setup. Here's your excuse to go buy that 223 you've been wanting. Can't let the mould just sit around can ya?
