Team.

Got my dies, Cruise Missile mould and cases yesterday. Oh happy days.

What alloy/BHN are you guys running for the Cruise Missile in the Carcano/Swede?

I will be using H4427, Benchmark, H4350 in suitable amounts.

I have a small amount (40lb?) of linotype left I have been saving for a special occasion and thought it might be a good bet for the FAST twist.

.............Jeff, I just use the same ole boring WW alloy. I've had no leading or accuracy issues with it. Not attempting to set any speed records either, just recreational shooting and excerizing the Carcano :-)

WW here as well but haven't found a load that doesn't wobble yet with the CM in a Carcano. The groups aren't too bad just not stable. Like Buckshot I;m not trying to push them hard though.

Wheel weights work well for most of my shooting at very low speeds. (13-1500fps) I must admit that I do not shoot 60.5x52. I obtained 200 pounds of linotype years ago. For use at higher speeds I use 1 pound mixed with 2 pounds of wheel weights. This seems hard enough for anything reasonable with cast bullets.

I too don't load for 6.5 but in my 30/284 aka 7.5 Swiss I find WW works fine up to around 1700fps. I do use gaschecks on those though.

I water drop everything for convenience, and ww work just fine for my 6.5x55s.
