My wife ran over a pair of needle nose pliers yesterday. I work out of town and took the tire to a place near my workplace. Turns out the tire is shot and will need replaced.

I asked if they had any wheel weights for sale. The guy said "Yes". Great, how much? Well, I came home with 396lbs of wheel weights for $47.

Take a six pack or a case over to the shop and tell them how much you appreciate the WW's....ask them to save the rest for you and you will give them a few six packs if they let you buy them regularly.
I did that (a case of Harpoon Ale for two 5 gal buckets - even trade - 25 bucks for 200 lbs more or less) and I would up with 2500 lbs of WW's!
Take care of them whatever it costs. They are your new best friends!

I am just curious as to how you arrived at $47 for the weights. Was that the cost of the tire and the weights were free? Or in addition to the price of the tire?

That price doesn't include the tire. Roughly 13 cents/lb for the wheel weights. I had to bring a scale to weigh the wheel weights out.

Ok I see now, I was just a little intrigued as to how you arrived at that price.

I am shocked they said 13 cents a pound. Said I would take them all and went right for the ATM!
