Looking for the best lube for my cast (pure lead) .44 cal conical boolits for my BP pistols. I've been using Crisco, but it't messy. These boolits have grooves around the base, and I''m planning on rolling paper cartridges with them.....any suggestions?

I use Beeswax, Olive oil.
They are all sticky, gooey, but they work.
I melt 55% Beeswax, blend it with 45% Olive oil. From there, I stiffen with more Beeswax untill I get the consistancy I want.
Easy clean up, no leading.

DoAll "Tool Saver" or 5/4 Beeswax/olive oil.( I stole theTool Saver idea from Blue Spot Bill and the 5/4 mix from Larry Gibson)
Both work well and so I use them
As soon as it warms up I plan to test the beeswax Olive oil idea for making prelubed patches.
