Hi All , Can i use a 45 Long Colt Carbide sizing die to size 45 ACP brass? Thanks Ron

Yeah you can, it just might size it a tad too big and the bullets might fit loose. I say this because I have a set of Hornady Titanium Nitrate coated dies, (basically carbine sizer type) that are labeled as doing 45 LC, 45ACP, and 45AR. Well when doing 45 acps they don't size the brass down enough. Alot of folks don't know, but John Browning designed the 45acp case with a slight taper. So because of this I use my old regular steel RCBS dies (being the new Hornadys don't size the 45acp down enough) because they size it with a taper.

In a nutshell, you may get good sizing with your carbide 45LC sizer, but I thought I'd enamer you to the specs on the 45acp.
