Gang - Got my decapping tool from Midway today, it has been on backorder for a while. Just to let you know Midway has these in stock again (PN# 245983).

Say hey, Buck. How do them erupeein two primer flash holes work out when you drop in regular boxer primer. Or do you just drill another center flash hole to handle the job of ignition.

I once tried to remove some berdan primers and it was an ugly job that rendered no favorable results.

Always been fascinated by them pesky rascals but gave up on 'em decades ago. :???:

Well when you drop in a regular primer you get a boom trying to seat it unless you milled that "teat" or anvil away in the primer pocket of the Berdan casing.

If you mill that away the two little holes work fine, they work fine for the berdan primer, didn't they?

Cept the regular primers are .210 and them Berdans are .217. I did buy about 10K of large rifle berdan primers and still have about 5K left after 8 years.

Jim - Yup, the regular primers won't fit! Gotta find some Berdan primers. I'm out and none of the regular suppliers have them in stock. There is one source but they only sell 5,000 at a shot. Need to find somebody to split that with.

Buck; Who has the Berdan Primers? I'm interested in buying the .217 size too.

The problem is you have to buy in lots of 5000. They are selling them direct.
