I have one I use in a couple of 336's with Ballard rifling. I haven't tried it in my Reminton 14. At 50 yds using reduced loads meant for the RCBS 35-200 I can keep them in a 4" group. I load them to 1300-1450 FPS. Mark

Yes, I have. The Saeco 245 grain shoots well in the .35 Remington, using either 3031 or AA 2520, at a little over 1900 fps. I have shot it in several Marlin leverguns (both Microgroove and Ballard rifling) and also a Remington Model 8. Feeds and shoots just fine.

Thanks Mark and Glen. Glen, it was actually your article that inspired me to try it. I've loaded this boolit for years in the .358 Win and it is a real hammer at 2300 fps. I just recently acquired a very nice 1957 Microgroove .35 Rem (my first) and in doing research on loading the cartridge, found your excellent article. I have only found one other reference to loading that boolit in the .35, also with IMR-3031 and velocities a hair over 2000 fps.

I have a plentiful supply of IMR-3031 and AA2015 so that is where I'll start. I'm thinking 50/50 lead and WW metal, water quenched with the nose annealed to soften it, sized .360". At 1900+ fps it should be a real bone-breaking penetrator on our big Canadian whitetails and black bear and should still expand well.

Also, perhaps AC WW, also sized .360, for a practice boolit.

Am I thinking right here?
