I have a chance to purchase one.
No iron sight's but it has scope base's.
With RCBS dies 60 empty brass,Barne's and Hornady bullets.
Is $500.00 for it all a good price?

It's a horrible deal. you should right away send it to me of course (LOL).

458 WM might make a dandy CB caliber.

i'm not enough of a shooter to drive that caliber. I've got lesser calibers that recoil about all i can take.

It's a great price!

I got mine about 11 years ago with the dies, brass and j-word boolits and I paid $450.00 which I still consider a good deal.

Shoots 1/2" @ 50yds with a case full of 3031 and a 405gr RCBS Boolit.

I stand corrected. Had a brain fart and thought the original title read Price check on Ruger #1.

I went to a gun show today with a buddy who was looking for a .308 rifle. We spotted several M77 Mk Is in various calibers and all were priced around $450-500 with a scope. I gave $350 for my stainless M77 in .270 about 2-3 years ago at a pawn shop but that was a really good deal. I probably wouldn't pay more than $450 for one though.

So it's not as good a deal as I thought then.

If in fact it is in good shape it is a good deal. Wonder though what happened to the sights, or whether this is not a factory barrel.

I think it is a fair price what with the cost of jacketed bullets now and the brass and the seemingly constant rise in gun prices. The real person you should is yourself "Do I really want it"?Robert

Seems like a good price to me for a big bore. I notice that the larger calibers seem to bring a little more money than the 30 and smaller calibers. The reloading stuff is just iceing on the already good cake.

I'm gonna get hold of the guy and go have a look at it.

I would think thats a pretty decent price as long as the rifle is in decent shape !

I've kinda been keeping my eyes open for a used Ruger #1H in 458 WIN MAG and the best price I've found a decent used one for was about $800 without any extras :-?

I got one for slightly less but it is ia good deal.

I took mine and had it rechambered to .460 Weatherby Magnum for some real fun.
