Nice, VERY NICE!
That looks like a real good one- great metal work, nice wood.
Something to be proud of, and keep forever.

Very nice rifle, excellent engraving. Hope you get years of enjoyment out it. Haven't heard of the Douglas barrel used in years but they made a good barrel.

Before I was hit by a propane truck(his fault,as borne out in Court) and put on disability, had to declare bankruptcy, went with ANY income for 18 months,I had THREE of his guns. Two were built just for me,one was about to go up to Friendship.Had to sell everything I owned, and this is not one I had before, but it is "getting back" a bit of my past.

Don Davison, but he has not built a muzzleloader for some time now.He was trained by Hacker Martin and Lester Smith.Lester trained him on engraving.
Mostly he builds BPCR guns now.

Dadgum it! That is one very nice rifle. Sorry to hear about the bad times, but we recover. I'm a disabled Vietnam Vet, things can be tight sometimes.

This shows you have kept the faith. I heard that "tough times don't last, tough people do...".

God Bless
