Found! maybe,
Ad in newspaper says free! 9 boxes of green bar continious feed computer paper.
I called tonight but it is a local business only open 9-5, will be calling back in the morning.
Does any body want some for the cost of shipping?

Help me out... new to paper patching...what is green bar paper and why is it special?

Is this the old printer paper used in the daisy wheel printers from long ago with the green and white horizontal bars?

Green bar paper is pretty good for patching. It is .004 and wraps pretty nicely.
Pdawg uses it. I use lined notebook paper. Same thickness.
Something about that paper as well as the 'puter paper, and notebook paper that makes it stick really well to itself when drying.
Good paper to wrap with.

Is this the old printer paper used in the daisy wheel printers from long ago with the green and white horizontal bars? That's the one. It survived into the dot matrix printer era.

We have surplus boxes of the old 8x10" linked computer paper with the perforated edges used in the old dot matrix printers. We were allowed to take full boxes home for scrap paper or drawing paper for our kids. I think brought home 3 boxes with more sitting at work in the closet.

Maybe I will measure this and see what it is for thickness!!!

I'd like to get some to try, if you don't mind.

I have tried dozens of different papers over the years. When I seen my company throwing away stacks of green bar paper I latched on to some. It is 16# and just about perfect for patching. It is tough and shrinks well. Lubed and pushed through a die it gives a hard and water resistant patch. It is about all I use now.

Yes, count me in on this deal. I am patching for 3 calibers now and good paper is hard to find.

I can get small quantities of greenbar paper from work from time to time.
If anyone is in a tight spot for this, drop me a PM and I can mail you 3 or 4 sheets to try.
