hi folks,
well tonight i gas checked about 200 22 cal cast bullets. used tumble lube and the lee sizer .225. used the hornady gc's. i found some snapped on, others needed a little push, and a few needed a small tap from the small brass hammer.my question is, is there an easier way? and will the 7mm and 30 cal be easier? my guess is the 22's are small to handle. any thoughts would be welcome.
thanks.....dancast

You might look at NOE's gascheck seater and gascheck swaging dies on the Sponsors group. I just purchased one and about 8 swaging dies from them and like how they work. The swager dies make all the gascheck shanks uniform so gaschecks snap right on and seat square for better accuracy.

dan take your press handle and use it like a hammer set check on ram and put boolit on the check . Start it in the size die and use the handle to tap - tap the boolit into the die like driving a nail. it will seat the check flat and will crimp it as it passes through
