These very well made, but unmarked, tools came recently in a box of misc handloading stuff. They appear to be volumetric measuring devices, maybe for powder. The cylinders are brass, rods are stainless?, and the locking devices are steel. The long one has graduations from 0 to 50 and the shorter one has same graduations from 0 to 35. Spacing on the graduation tick-marks is 0.067". The longer cylinder is 4.13" long x 0.5" OD x 0.375" ID, and the shorter tool is 3.12" long with same diameters.
Who made these? When? What is their purpose?

You have the standard and magnum length, non-micrometer, Belding & Mull drop tubes. Do you have the measure?

Pressman,
You are the 4th person that has told me that they are Belding & Mull drop tubes. I do not have the measure to go with them.

All,
Thanks for all the help. Bullshop expressed an interest in buying these, so I am trying to decide on a price to offer him. Anybody have any ideas? Has anyone seen these sell lately? I only know that a complete B&M measure including one of these drop tubes is being offered here at CB for $130.

strangwn,

the price is variable as I have seen them go for $10 to $30 on ebay. It all depends on how much a person needs one. If you have a measure without one you need one. if you have a measure and want a spare you don't NEED one.

If someone needs the B&M charge table send a pm. I always set mine with a scale at each session.

And the $130 for a complete measure is on the high end and would represent a good specimen. But again they tend to have prices all over the map. If there is a willing seller and a wiling buyer who knows what the price could climb to.
