This is an awesome Boolit, and the quality of the 5 Cavity NOE mold is just beyond words :-) :-) .

9.5 gr of 4227 out of my brothers 22 Hornet Handi cronos 2047 FPS and shoots great with the Boolitz from NOE Group buy Mold. :-) :-) My Stevens 322 K Hornet won't stabilize them with it's 1x16 barrel. :-(

But I believe I now have the Holy Grail Boolit for my Mini MarkX in 223. This is a 10 shot 50 yard group, using 11 gr. of 4227( just cronoed the load 1650 FPS @ 10') I was just resting my hands on the bench, didn't have enough light to justify getting any rests set up. Fired 5 shots mixed brass FC, RP and a S&B, quickly reloaded same cases and fired 5 more. ( Lee collet sizer and Lee seat die, chamfered necks, not belled, boolit seated to nearly cover grease groove, GC at bottom of neck) GC were seated and sized w/ a LEE .225 PT Die. then lubed in a .224 Lyman sizer with white label 50/50. We have a .225 Lyman sizer and several K of GC coming. Alloy is WWs air cooled, The boolitz were not sorted they do weigh 59.6 to 59.7 gr as they drop from my 5 cav. mold with my WW alloy, nothing added. :-) I will crono this load today and play with more powders.

After the group buy ended their was some of these left over and I ordered a four cavity, I am hoping I will have good luck with mine in a 1-8" twist 40x in 223.

This is a photo of the second Kill with the NOE 22-055 boolit. this was a Pigeon. 120 yards laser ranged, Brother's 22 hornet Handi Rifle. 9.5 of 4227. :redneck: Hope he gets some work done on the farm today. Boolitz haven't even aged 48 hrs yet:shock: First kill was also a pigeon, but his dog got it before he could get a photo with his phone.

Not pretty:veryconfu removed both legs and part of one wing along with completely gutted.

Bryan and some fellow farmers are chasing Coyotes tomorrow with Dogs, maybe some more photos coming :-)

Just took mine out of the box, wow those are little holes, I've never cast for anything smaller than 7MM before. This will take some getting use to I'm sure.
and as usual the mold is just perfect. Thanks Al another job well done.

As usual Swede's molds are masterpieces! I fired mine up yesterday and cast about 80 boolits. I preheated the mold and the first five boolits out of the mold were keepers! They dropped out of the mold perfectly with just a little shake of the mold. Using my wheel weights the boolits weighed 59.7 gr and were .2256 in diameter. This is the best casting mold I own. Now I have to sit and weight until Monday for my sizer die and gas checks! I was expecting lots of issues casting this small boolit, but was very surprised as how easy it was. My .243 lyman and Saeco molds are a lot more dificult. Thanks Swede and NOE.

Hey screwbolts, was that pigeon hit with a fp or a hp?

Hey screwbolts, was that pigeon hit with a fp or a hp?

It was the Flat point, IMHO and it is just my opinion, I have no use for a HP in cast Boolitz or in any condom wrapped. :killingpc[smilie=l:

Just some Little Boolitz from an after noon of casting. 12.6 lbs :-)

I just had to try this boolit. I cast from WW and a little tin, air cooled. I'm out of Lil'Gun so I loaded 6.0 grains of H110 and win small pistol primer. I seated to touch the lands. I shot a 10 shot 3/4 inch group at 50 yards. Great start for first loading. By the way, I just grabbed 10 out of the pile(not weighed) and ran them through a lee .225 sizer(measured .2245) and then lubed with BAC. Gun is a Encore 24" barrel, 1 in 12 twist.

I am a proud owner of a newly acquired Win. Mod. 54, 22 Hornet!

Is this mould still availible? If so in what Cav's and how much? I have most of the necessary products on the way for Boolit Casting and Loading. I would like to try this mould if availible and cost is within reason for me. My only hesitation is because it is a 1-16 twist.

My 54, 22-H has a real tight barrel, the slugs just barley measure .222

I would appreciate someone letting me know and how to purchase?

A GREAT BIG THANKS.

This is a great boolit!! but it will not stabilize in my Stevens 322A K-Hornet 1x16 twist barrel. This rifle I reamed to 22 K-Hornet several years ago.

I repeat this great 59.7 gr. boolit will not stabilize in my K- Hornet,s 1x16 twist barrel.

I am planing on getting a BRP mold for their 226-47 grain Boolit. ( http://www.brp.castpics.net ) Check the Vender section below, This boolit was designed for the Hornet and should do well in your 54 with it.s 1x16 twist. Go to the above link for the price listing of this Boolit.

Check out this thread that is in GMD above, you have to read all 20+ pages to learn about this mold :-)

Please read my first post.

Today while I was out I came across a Lost soul in the form a minty Rem 722 in 222 Rem. No matter what I did it had already made up it's mind to followed me home. ( Date Coded: EWW, I know when it was made does anyone else?) I can already tell you these Boolitz shot great in a 1x14 twist. It will never have to endure the punishment of a condom wrapped bullet again, as long as I have the privilege of being it's care taker. :-)

I would think you will have to go down to Lyman's 225415 or 438 with the 1:16 twist.

I have been on the trail of a 722 for some years, sooner or later the present owner will part with it.

Or I may just have to "do him in", and buy it from the widow.

He is not a shooter, nor a real collector, rather an accumulator.

He loves to not sell you something you want, that he has.

I once brokered a four part deal just to get a mutual friend a gun that he wanted.

Ken, thanks for the wake up. I was skimming and all that was in my head was 22 hornet. I have a Rem 700 light tactical in 223. Cant wait to try these.

What is everyone sizing these to ?? and what is your "as cast Dia. ??

BCall

I'm sizing mine to .225, lubed with carnauba red. As cast they are not much more than .225, close to .226. Will probably try some at .224 when I get a die, but the .335 seems to be working when I get the chance to shoot. Groups are hard when you are shaking from the cold.

This is my NOE 225-55FN sized .225 shot at 105 yards out of my scoped 10" 22 Hornet Contender , needs a little load develpoment to tighten up the flyers. 7.0 gn 2400 w/ a small pistol primer

Made it to the range today with my 223 and 8 different loads with the 22-055 NOE bullet. Loads were 9.0 to 10.5 gr IMR4759 in half grain increments. I tried these loads with bullets sized .224 and .225. My Savage with 1-9 twist definately prefers the bullets sized .225. Anyhow ..... 10.0 grains of the 4759 was the best load I tried today. 1 1/2" at 100 yards. I estimate velocity at around 1900 fps. No leading. I'm gonna try a couple other powders because the rifle is capable of much better. I tried to recover some bullets from the back stop but it appeared that they had all broken up into tiny fragments.
