just finished replacing hammer trigger and mainspring in my 1886 takedown. new parts from midwest gunworks worked fine had to make a new block for the mainspring strut on the lower tang. wondering if anyone Knows of a scorce for bl92 hammer and trigger to fix the new 1892 short rifle and if they would work. I would rather have the halfcock feature.

Interesting. I know that the firing pin on the new 1886 Wins is very different than the
original firing pin.

Anybody need a mint, new old stock 1886 Win firing pin?

Where do you find discount info for Brownell's??
I asked about discount, and the lady told me "Only dealers/Active or retired Law Enforcement or Military"

I just bought a die 8-40 tpi $18.62 + shipping "OUCH"

You might try Steve's guns for 92 parts. http://www.stevesgunz.com/

I see Brownell's is a site sponsor, see bottom of page, but I did not know they extended a discount to forum members. Is it under the general section of the site ( versus castboolits or reloaders guide)?

John thanks for the link looks like he might be able to help. Shot the 1886 today gained 70 fps with same load and the extreem spread went from 70fps to 20fps. accuracy im miuch improved also it was hard to tell how bad it was before because the rifle would missfire 1 out of 5 shots. The new marbles tang sight should be here soon, maby I can get som decent 100 yd groops.

If I was misunderstood, I apologize. I didn't mean to imply that we as Cast Boolits forum members got a discount at Brownell's. Frankly I don't know, but I doubt it. They do, however, extend discount privileges to C&R licensees. Regards, Woody
