has anyone ever soldered bullets together? just wondering if this can be done.

Soldering two lead boolits together is not difficult. I am not sure what I would do with the result. I would be either too heavy or too long to shoot well. What are you hoping to gain for your trouble. I seem to be missing a point.

Me too.
I read a similar post here some time ago. That one consisted of a very soft nose soldered to a harder base for expansion purposes. A lot of work.

Technically, if the base material (the bullet) melts and the filler material melts and both form a compatible alloy then it is considered welding.

Thinking somewhat mechanically, try this; pour your soft alloy in the mould first, followed by a piece of solder, then your harder alloy; the heat should(?) be enough to solder it all together.
