I am in Northern Indiana (west of Warsaw, IN) competing in the American Single Shot Rifle Association schuetzen matches. People bring in all kinds of gun related stuff for sale. They had bricks of .22's for $5.00 a brick, for example. I also found two nearly new Lyman moulds:
Double cavity 225415 GC
Single Cavity 452424 Keith.

I paid the munificent sum of $15.00 each for the moulds (he wouldn't take less:) ).

The ASSRA matches are four day affairs in May, July, and September. Two day .22 only matches in April and October. Check in to:
http://www.assra.com/

The centerfire rifles are only allowed to use plain base lead bullets. Most drive them at 1250-1500 fps. The bench rifles have to shoot 1/2 minute to be completely competitive but some have lots of fun with one minute rifles.

Hey Dale53

That's not too far from me. I've spent some time in warsaw - racing sailboats on Wawassee. It'd be worth the trip just for the swap meet. I'll have to keep that in mind, Thanks for the heads up

No Lyman 512138 as yet. There will be lots more people in over the weekend.

I shot my Peregringe. Did terrible!! Conditions were really pretty bad but a couple of guys did pretty dern good. We had lots of wind, a severe thunderstorm, and beaucoup rain. Just another day at ASSRA's Etna Green...

Tomorrow and the rest of the weekend is supposed to be better. I hope that things get lots better for me tomorrow (have to hold my head up, you know):roll:

One bright side, I bought 500CC of Pufflon for $10.00. Keep in mind that I really don't do fillers...We'll see...

Dale, if you can pickup another Lyman .22 caliber double cavity, I'd be happy to make it worth your while to send it to me.

Scrounger;
Sorry, no more .22 moulds. It is always "Pot Luck", you never know what will be on the tables. Always interesting, tho'.

When I get back from vacation, I'll have to give both those moulds a try. If the .45 Keith works well, as I expect, I'll probably send it on the Buckshot for hollow pointing. I have plain base bullets for "regular" .45 Colt use (including Black Powder) but thought it would be nice to have a hollow point mould.

The .22 mould is a real find. I was planning to order one shortly, anyway. Can you see me smiling?:mrgreen:
