anybody here have any experiance with hi temp ceramic coating. i want to coat
the inside of my new stainless melting pots and ny ladle for my zinc experiment.
i found some on the web but $84 plus shipping. OUCH.

The graphite mold release works good on spoons and what not for anti stick.
Its a lot cheaper.

One can burn up a lot of cash in experiments.

I used to pour a lot of pure zinc and zinc alloys. Don't use your fancy new stainless melting pots for a zinc experiment. Buy an inexpensive thriftstore stainless pot to use for your zinc experiment. It will serve very well, and you can replace it as needed.

sometimes a man cannot see the forest fo the trees. i woke up in the middle
of the night and said dam. my wife used to do ceramics and has about 350 jars
down in her studio. i didn't go through evey jar but the few i looked at was to be fired
at 1850 deg F or hotter. i got to grab a scrap piece os stainless and sand blast
1/2 and sandpaper the other half and bake and see if it sticks and give it a few
hot and cold cycles. free yeahaaa.
