I have 5 H&R ultra slug guns in 12 ga. One is a dedicated 12 FH (from hell) gun, one is a dedicated Blammy shell (Modified 12 FH Case) and a third, I want to dedicated to Black powder Blammy.

The blammy's are 50BMG cases with a 12ga Brass Head bonded on and a bushing that allows me to 209 primers. They are trimmed to 3".

I'm shooting 110 of RE17 with a 1200 grain slug in the dedicated one now.

I have no idea what BP load to load these cases with though.
Any ideas?

With black powder just load it up until you have no air space and let it go.

Call and talk with the owner of Circle Fly Wads. He shoots a lot of BP shotgun and would be able to help you on how to start. With the H&R I will tell you to wear a heavy coat. With the correct wad column I would think that your shell will be a big meat getter, nothing will walk away from a hit.
