I am new to this form hope this hasn't been covered reasently. I'm beginning the casting and loading for a new 92 short rifle in 44mag trying to decide on a mold. Wondering what the max col for this rifle might be. Also any sudjestions on molds would be great looking at 240-260 range.

I prefer the LBT LFN at about 280 grains. Crimped at the ogive I'm slightly less than max C.O.L. By the way. Welcome to the group.
P.S. You'll find these guys are incredibly helpful.

You will be better off starting with a RNFP design. That is round nose flat point so that it will cycle through the action of your 92. If you have a Brazil made rifle they are very good out the box but some still need some tweaking before you can shoot any style bullet. You also will want to consider the light weight of the 92 for recoil reasons. The Lyman 429667 is a very good place to start

i had to modify my carrier slightly for the 429421 boolit but anything even 5 thou shorter on the nose should feed nicely.
every rnfp design has slid right through everyone of my leverguns.
thats why there are so many rnfp designs they work in the leverguns and revolvers.

Greetings MACK1 & Welcome !
I have nothing to add... Just wanted to say Hello. My 92's are either 38-40 or 44-40 0r 45 Colt (Rossi). Any 92 launching a 40 some caliber boolit is a Great tool to have about.
Have a Blessed New Year all !
