View Full Version : NEI .35 cal Boolit Molds

Anybody have experience with NEI #165 and/or #166? I like the profile and weight of #166 but that very square (I don't know how accurate the drawings are on NEI's website) looks like it could cause release problems. I would be using the mold for a 336 in .35 Remington that measures over .360" in the grooves.

FWIW, my 35 calber NEI-290-GC drops at .360" on the driving bands from my polyglot alloy of mostly WW. Fine mold. It effortly casts very nice bullets!

Get the NEI catalog. You can measure directly from the drawings, they are that accurate. It's one of the nice features of this catalog.

Not all of the illustrations are actually like that, I recently got a four cavity with two different cuts. The 44 WC mold was NOT like the illustration and weighed 15 gr. heavier. Yes, the mold number on the blocks was the same as the illustration. The only redeeming factor was that the boolit shot to fixed sights and was accurate.
