I recently got a new model Blackhawk online that came with an extra set of grips. Trouble is, they don't fit the gun nor do they fit my 50th anniversary model. I know its hard to tell by looking at my crappy photos but does anybody have an idea what these grips might fit? The seller thought they were for a Blackhawk but never tried them so I'm thinking maybe an old model?? Or perhaps a Colt/clone? Anyway if you have any idea let me know, they are beautiful grips but I cannot use them on anything I have.

Looks like Colt Peacemaker to me.

possibly a single six.

The lack of a locating pin hole at the front - bottom and the presence of a filler at the rear bottom rules out the Rugers. The filler is the right size and location for a Colt or Colt clone.

Hi Kingstrider

I have the same exact grips on my ruger blackhawk convertable. However, the inside of mine are flat with the correct holes. Really blew my mind when I seen the same pattern on these.

The missing locating pin guides threw me as well. Like jhrosier said.

Thanks guys. They are too small to fit a new model grip frame and are almost the right size for a 50th anniversary model but would have to be modified and I'd rather sell them as is.

That's a beautiful set of stocks. A bonded and certified wingnut like myself would probably go find & pay for a gun to put them on, rather than part with them.

I agree. I have been known to purchase a rifle to go with a set of dies that I got a good deal on. :)
