how can i tell?

I own a mosin,it has a very short chopped off stock,i believe probably for a child the butt portion is WAY too short for adults.oh well.

i see in here all the time people talking that they have this one or that one;i do not know how to find out what mine is.its not a HEX thats all i know.


i do not have a camera to show,so,what marks do i look for?i dont really care what it is i shoot it all the time,but,would like to know.

The vietnamese, and probably the Chinese as well, often cut down rifles for use by women and smaller statue soldiers, even child soldiers.
