Traded my 450 Marlin at the last gun show here in town for this little guy, also picked up some brass, bullets, and dies at the same show. I wanted to get this 204 up and running so I can do some coyote hunting with it this winter so I took the scope off my 6.8 AR-15 and put it on this for the time being, its just a 4-16x Mueller until I can get something else.

I looked up loads on IMR website for 32gr bullets and H322 powder, starting load was 25.5 max was 27.5 so I went in the middle with 26.5 over all length of 2.300, with CCI 400 primers.
I loaded up today after I got home from work and headed to the range, only to find that it is closed until March....arg. I went down the road a bit further were someone tipped over a couple cars and people shoot at. I pulled a road killed board out of the back of my truck stapled on some targets and grabbed my range finder trying to get as close to 100 yards from my truck, I had parked were there was a dry patch with no snow on it. I got 97 yards and figured it was close enough. I set up laying prone, bored sighted quickly to get one target, and fired a round for effect, 1 shot I was on paper, now fine tuning. This is my first 3 shot group .152" Center to Center.

Not to bad. I need to get better glass on it, the scope on it has a large dot in the center of the crosshair which will be fine for coyotes but come springs when the P-dogs are out I am going to want a finer cross hair for more precise work.
Looks like a keeper.
