Traded my 450 Marlin at the last gun show here in town for this little guy, also picked up some brass, bullets, and dies at the same show. I wanted to get this 204 up and running so I can do some coyote hunting with it this winter so I took the scope off my 6.8 AR-15 and put it on this for the time being, its just a 4-16x Mueller until I can get something else.

I looked up loads on IMR website for 32gr bullets and H322 powder, starting load was 25.5 max was 27.5 so I went in the middle with 26.5 over all length of 2.300, with CCI 400 primers.

I loaded up today after I got home from work and headed to the range, only to find that it is closed until March....arg. I went down the road a bit further were someone tipped over a couple cars and people shoot at. I pulled a road killed board out of the back of my truck stapled on some targets and grabbed my range finder trying to get as close to 100 yards from my truck, I had parked were there was a dry patch with no snow on it. I got 97 yards and figured it was close enough. I set up laying prone, bored sighted quickly to get one target, and fired a round for effect, 1 shot I was on paper, now fine tuning. This is my first 3 shot group .152" Center to Center.

Not to bad. I need to get better glass on it, the scope on it has a large dot in the center of the crosshair which will be fine for coyotes but come springs when the P-dogs are out I am going to want a finer cross hair for more precise work.

Looks like a keeper.

I've heard people either love or hate their .204's. Looks like you're going to love yours.

I loved mine. It was the most accurate cartridge I've loaded for. Both my .204's (both Savages) shot wonderfully. BUT, those little pills were too tiny to kick up enough dust to spot my misses (while prairie doggin'), so I sold them.

Looks like a keeper to me. Coyotes are not hard to kill as I have shoot several with light loads in a 30-30 using cast lead bullets.
