Old Sarge's Drop Zone has 100 rds of dummy .30-06 ammo linked w/ 1919 links. I'm thinkin' I could pull the bullets, prime the cases, charge and reload them. Y'all think a hunnerd bullets and cases are worth $30 some odd?

Sounds a little shakey to me. You have NO idea of what sort of components were assembled to make those dummy rounds. The bullets may be some sort of reject junk and who knows what condition the cases were in? 30-06 is so common you'd be better off buying once fired cases from a reputable member of this board and bullets from a known maker. That way you won't be flinching every time you pull the trigger, not knowing if the next round will cause trouble or not.

Ditto.........I wouldn't touch it. Old brass can become brittle with age, possible neck splits, etc. I"d pass on that deal !

Same here, brass could be of very questionable quality.

Ditto on all said. 30.06 is very common and I'm sure you could find a better price.

Reminds me of a question in the NRA magazine. A guy got hold of a bunch of `06 blank rounds and wanted to empty them out and reload them. The answer came out as to not even consider it as the brass used for blanks is usually rejected from normal loading assembly and loaded as blanks. They also recommended to not use the blank powder for loading cartridges.Robert
