Guy wanted $60 but I do not shoot any WC it that a good deal?
Are Cramer molds any good? it looked fine and handles looked like SAECO type.

Outstanding moulds, excellent quality far above the run of the common Lyman IME.

I paid a lot more than that, like double, for 2C and it is one of my favorites.

I paid $175 for this mold w/ the handles that you see.

I don't regret a penny of it ! A fine mold !

Cramer put together a very clever mould design for casting HP bullets in which the HP pin remains captive with the mould blocks and a separate step to remove the HP is not necessary in the casting sequence. It also can be used in multiple cavities so casting speed is much faster. Erik offers a service where standard mould are converted over to the old Cramer design. He does excellent work, and I like these moulds very much. For details on a couple of Cramer-style HP mould conversions that he's done for me, see:

Cramer was bought out by SAECO (Santa Anita Enginering Company) in the late 50's. SAECO continued to market the molds as SAECO/Cramer with the original Cramer designs for a few years. In the due course of things SAECO droped most of the Cramer designs in favor of their own and droped the Cramer name as well. SAECO was bought by Redding and continue to make and sell molds under the SAECO name.

The original Cramer and later SAECO/Cramer molds were very fine pieces of work. I have also had good luck with the current SAECO molds.

Cramer had a design for a hollow point mold that did not use a detachable hollow point pin as does the Lyman. SAECO did not continue with the production of the Cramer designed hollow point molds.

Three44s :

I'm glad you said " Cramer Syle Molds".

Erik can do an excellent Cramer Syle HP conversion to a SAECO, RCBS, or Lyman mold.

But.......when all this is done , it still won't be a true Cramer mold.

I have three of Erik's HP. Yes he does a very good job on them, almost as easy to cast as non-HP. This is what has inspired me to join in on the .44 HP group buy that MiHec is working on right now. MiHec's mould will come with the ability to cast several different boolits from the same mould.

I've thought on several occassions about designing a 3 cav mold throught Mountain Molds and having Erik do his handy work for me. I've just never gone through with it. One solid, and to HPs... Could be lots of fun!
