Jamison International is now making .357 Maximun brass. Jamisoninternational.com

Brass is same price as Remington. I ordered 100 to try them out. Service was great and shipping reasonable.

If you are using .357 maximun brass or making something out of them you should try these brass.

Got out the BullSize and made some .270 maximun today. This brass is a much better than the Remington brass.

How does the rim thickness work for you? I just bought some .450/400 Nitro Express brass made by Jamison and about 2/3 of the cases had rims that were ~.005" too thick to close the action on (and I've heard that other folks have had trouble with J-I brass because of inconsistent rim thickness).

I ordered some Remington in March. Graf & sons called this week to let me know it was in and if i still wanted it. The Mfg's are catching up.

Glen - I tried to measure the rim thickness with my micrometer. There is not enough rim projection to get a consistent reading with what I have. I measured 10 R-P and 10 JI and got the same range of thickness. I do not have enough confidence in the readings to publish them.

My .270 max has a very tight headspace. R-P cases fit real tight. I tried all of the JI cases in it and 41 worked OK. The .270 max case will fit into a .357 mag chamber because of the bottleneck. I tried the cases that would not fit in the .270 max in two different .357 mag single shot pistols. All of the cases chambered OK in both guns.

Based on the above the JI cases should work in .357 max factory chambers. Fit for wildcat cartridges made from .357 max brass would depend on how tight they are headspaced.

I just made a closer inspection of the cases that would not chamber in the .270 max. The cases that would not chamber have a small ridge around the primer pocket. When the ridge is removed the cases all chamber OK. I do not see a rim thickness problem with the .357 max brass
