saw one of these on a gunblast video on youtube, and they are listed at lipsey's.

http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=RU1S475LB&mfg=Ruger&family=No.+1+Series&model=No.+1+Medium+Sporter

anyone have any experience with one? etc, etc. looks real interesting.

Man, that's a beut! A few years ago, I'd purchased a short Encore barrel in the 475/480 caliber. It's fun to shoot. However, also owning a 454 FA, 50AE DE, and a 500 S&W I must admit several of the calibers tend to overlap each other power-wise. I'd still like to have that Ruger. :)

Thanks for the info!
Ron

Just ordered one in. I plan on slugging the bore and chamber then having LBT make up a couple of molds in the 400 & 440 gr weights. Still looking at what powder would be best. I'm looking forward to developing a couple of loads and smashing a couple of Hogs with it before winter is out.

you ever get your linebaugh no. 1? any reports to offer? finally snagged a bfr 475 and thinking the no. 1 would be a nice companion to same. post up, if able.
