I picked up an 8 cavity Saeco # 307 [31141 design] first test casting showed out of round and under sized .308-.3085 and a .295 nose.
I thought I'ld "beagle it" first before taking on lapping the 8 cavities, so my question is will the hign temp tape suggested in the beagleing sticky on each end be enough, or should there be a strip in the center as well ??

I believe that I'd put a strip in the middle as well but I'd try it as-is first unless the groove diameter is on the large side. The 31141 will usually shoot well even with an 'undersized' nose section. It'd probably do very well in a K-31.
