The mail man just brought my Lyman 356402 and handles They are both like new even though used from ebay.
The handles are loose fitting to the mould when opened up but both sides of the mould are tight when closed.
Is this how they should be?
Forgive the Nube for shuch a silly question:lovebooli

They should be a bit loose--I have the same handles and mold... Do the mold blocks line up easily when you close them?

Yes they do I close up tight.
handles are 7 3/4" long from end to end for a 2 cavity mould.
On the plus side took one of the bullits I had left over from when I was buying them. {from a gun shop who got them from a caster} they are a 100% match. Figured it would be close but not 100%
Also the moulds have 356402 CM and WI 69 stamped in them whats the CM and WI 69 for a run # or time/date stamp?
Being from a car type back ground I always look to see what run and date on parts as many car stuff should be close to date assembed.

WI 69 identifies the cherry LY cut the mold with.

I cast & used a bunch of 356402s for uspsa , the best i found for speed loadin with a GP100
but everybody would back up when i shot .

shootin major power in 357mag there would be a little "splatter" when i got to the poppers!!

I put all my molds on a peice of flat oak board to close em helps to align em before closing em!
