Anyone know what the main difference is in the Rossi model 713 & the Rossi
model 971 in .357 Magnum ?
Are these guns pretty decent, accurate,& dependable ?
I don't mean for a steady diet of Buffalo Bore ammo---just maybe 10-20 rounds
a month and some occasional warmer loads ?

Thanks

i have the older model made in bout 90-91 it's stainless and non fluted cylinder, with 6 in bbl and full underlug.don't know the number designation.
but it has held up nicely and locks tight, even after my younger days of having tto make the 357 into a 44.
it,s still accurate enough to take a rabbit out to 50 yds.
the newer ones are made by taurus and are not the same quality

Hey Run 5,

Thanks Very Much for the answer. That's pretty much what I expected
about them. I sold some of them several years ago in my store and
never had a complaint about them. I never had one with a 6 inch barrel
and it puts me in the mind of a S&W 686 with that lug running all the way
to the end of the barrel.
Isn't that frame about the size of the S&W "J" Frame ?

Thanks Again &
Merry Christmas
