Just lost my Mom's dad back in October. My Dad's dad passed away last Friday.
Both led long, great, lives, just tough losing them so close together.
He was a retired Millwright Supervisor at GM's Fisher Body plant.
It really hurt his feelings to watch the company go down the way it did. He was extremely proud to have worked for GM during their glory days.
Like my other Grandad, he loved to talk, but he was a little more extroverted. He had a booming voice and laughter that could be heard over any crowd. He loved to tell jokes and had an infectious smile.
He had a little shop and was a very talented wood and metalworker before his 80's and bad knees slowed him down.
I've also seen him do things with a Browning Sweet 16 and a Sears Ted Williams
.22 that just left me, my dad, and more than a few of my buddies shaking our heads.
Before the funeral, we found a picture of him talking to my other grandad a few years back, both of them sitting on the porch in rocking chairs, solving the world's problems. I'm getting an 8x10 of that one.
They will both be missed.

My condolences. Stay strong. Thanks for sharing the story about who he is and what he's done.
