Does anyone know what this is? This is a pic from their website that just says coming soon. At first I thought they finally came out with a single stage press but I am not sure because it looks like a decaping die and maybe a case trimmer.

Looks like it is an entry level single stage press. Probably to get beginners interested in their product line. Obviously high quality. Might even be a progressive as there appears to be more than one die station, but no visable means of advancement. Gonna go thumb thru the latest "blue" book if I can find it.

Got me, the length of the handle suggests "long throw" but the mechanism under the press won't allow the ram to move very far. I'm going to guess it's a neck size, case trimmer for 50 BMG.

Either that or one hell of a nut cracker.

Looks like a new style progressive that goes from front to back. Pull handle once it deprimes then pull again and it trims. wow that seems neato!!! I'd like to test one out.

It's Dillon's new 50 BMG press. They have it advertised in the recently published American Rifleman.

It's amazing how the perspective on these photos changes as you read down through the thread. In the first photo I was comparing it to a regular sized press and thinking 50BMG? way too small for that. In the first photo in the store I thought, man that's still going to be a tight fit. Then next to the two guys at the show it's like holy schneikes that thing is huge! I'll bet the price is too. RD

I agree 100%! When I saw it on Dillon's website a few days ago I was thinking it was the size of a Lee Classic Cast Turret.

That thing is a monster!

The press is $999.95 and the carbide full length sizing die will run you [GASP!!!] $799.95! Seems like the 50BMG specific trimmer is about $360. Yes, it is huge.

I got to fondle this press last month in Dillon's showroom down in Scottsdale. It does have a quality feel to it, which might explain the BIG price. Maybe the golden ball on the handle is solid gold? :o

You'll need a "hella strong" bench to mount it on. It could use a good coat of blue powdercoat, too. This might just be the prototype, not the finished product.

Interesting.

I made a 50.BMG press and it only cost me around 30 bucks.

Looking at that press would lead me to beleive that I could make a press much like that one for next to nothing.

Your life's earnings and your first born. Good stuff but completely unreasonable in pricing. IMHO
